Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 July 2026

We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors and the families we work with. This policy sets out how British Learning Centre will treat your personal information. We handle personal data in accordance with Thai data protection law, including the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) ("PDPA").

What information do we collect?

We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal data:

  1. Information about your computer and about your visits to and use of this website, such as your IP address, geographical location, device, internet browser and operating system, how you reached the site, the time, day and length of your visit and which pages you click on.

  2. Information that you provide us with for the purpose of registering with us or enquiring about our services — for example, when you request a free trial, book an assessment, make a placement enquiry or use our School Finder.

  3. Information that you provide us with for the purpose of subscribing to our website services and email notifications.

  4. Any other information that you choose to send to us.

Cookies

We use cookies on this website. A cookie is a text file sent by a web server to a web browser and stored by the browser. The text file is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server, which enables the web server to identify and track the web browser. We may send a cookie that may be stored by your browser on your device.

We may use the information we obtain from cookies in the administration of this website, to improve the website's usability and for marketing purposes. We may also use that information to recognise your device when you visit our website and to personalise the website for you. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use all elements of the website.

We may use Google Analytics to analyse the use of this website. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies, which are stored on users' devices. The information generated relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of the website. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Using your personal data

Personal data submitted on this website will be used for the purposes specified in this privacy policy or in the relevant parts of the website. We may use your information to:

  1. Administer the website;

  2. Improve your browsing experience by personalising the website;

  3. Enable your use of the services available on the website;

  4. Send you general (non-marketing) communications;

  5. Send you email notifications that you have specifically requested;

  6. Send you communications relating to our tuition, assessment and school-placement services that we think may be of interest to you — where you have agreed to this, by email or similar technology. You can tell us at any time if you no longer wish to receive these communications by emailing us at info@britishlearningcentre.com;

  7. Provide third parties with statistical information about our users — this information will not be used to identify any individual user;

  8. Deal with enquiries or complaints made by or about you.

We will not provide your personal information to any third parties for direct marketing without your express consent.

Information collection and use

In order for you to use our services, we will require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, postal address, email address and phone number. In addition, to help us send you the appropriate information and support your child, we also ask for your child's name, date of birth, year group, current or prospective school and any relevant learning needs. All the information we collect will only be used to contact or identify you and to provide the service at your request.

Because we provide tuition and educational support to children, we process children's personal data only with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian, and we collect only what we need to deliver our services and keep children safe.

Other disclosures

In addition to the disclosures reasonably necessary for the purposes identified elsewhere in this privacy policy, we may disclose information about you:

  1. To third-party companies and individuals — service providers who facilitate our website, host the website on our behalf or assist us in analysing how our website is used. They are obliged not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose;

  2. To international schools, where you ask us to support a placement or application for your child;

  3. To the extent that we are required to do so by law;

  4. In connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings; and

  5. To establish, exercise or defend our legal rights, including providing information to others for fraud prevention.

Security

We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information, and we will store the personal information you provide on secure servers. Data transmission over the internet is, however, inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet. We will never ask you for your password.

Links to other sites

Our site contains links to other sites, including school websites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. These external sites are not operated by us, so we strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of each website you visit. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Changes to our privacy policy

We may update our privacy policy from time to time, and we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We may notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page, which will become effective immediately.

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection law in relation to your personal data. These include the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data (commonly known as a "data subject access request");

  • Request correction of your personal data;

  • Request erasure of your personal data;

  • Object to the processing of your personal data;

  • Request restriction of processing of your personal data;

  • Request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party;
