What will happen in the event that you are late collecting your child from school.

British Learning Centre — Tuition Terms & Policies Effective for all fixed-term tuition from. Applies to Pattaya and Bangkok (Lasalle's Avenue) centres. Online tuition packages are covered separately.

1. How our tuition works

  • The British Learning Centre teaches in fixed terms (approximately three months each). When you enrol, you choose:

  • the classes your child will attend from our published timetable, and

  • the number of hours per week.

  • You then pay once, in advance, for the whole term. Your child keeps the same class times each week for the duration of the term.

  • Our per-hour rate depends on how many hours a week your child attends — the more hours per week, the lower the hourly rate. The exact price for your term is confirmed on your tuition agreement before payment.

2. Payment

  • Tuition is paid in full and in advance, before the term begins.

  • Payment is by Thai QR / PromptPay (shown on your agreement) or bank transfer. Card payments are accepted with a 2% surcharge.

  • A child's place in a class is confirmed only once payment has been received.

3. Registration fee

  • A one-off registration fee applies to each new student on their first enrolment (Pattaya 2,000 THB; Bangkok 2,500 THB).

  • The registration fee is charged per child and is not charged again on renewals, or after a break in attendance.

4. Attendance, rescheduling and forfeited lessons

  • We understand that plans change, and we aim to be flexible while keeping classes running smoothly for everyone.

  • Lessons may be rescheduled to another available session within the same term, subject to availability. Please give us as much notice as possible, and at least 2 hours before the lesson.

  • Lessons are non-cancellable and non-refundable. A missed lesson that is not rescheduled within the term is used from your paid tuition.

  • Any lessons not attended or rescheduled by the end of the term are forfeited. Tuition does not carry over to the next term.

  • This is the same principle used by swimming schools, sports academies and most term-based activities: the place is reserved and the teacher is booked, so the term must be used within the term.

5. When the British Learning Centre cancels a lesson

  • If we cancel a lesson — for example, a teacher is unwell or the centre is closed unexpectedly — that is not your responsibility. The lesson is not deducted from your tuition, and its value is credited to your next term.

6. Term dates and closures

  • Term start and end dates, and any planned closed weeks (for example public holidays, the Christmas break and Songkran), are published for each term.

  • Lessons that fall on a published closed date do not count against your tuition and are not charged.

7. Joining part-way through a term

  • Students may join at any point in the term. You pay only for the lessons remaining in the term for your chosen classes — the price is pro-rated automatically and shown on your agreement.

8. Changing your hours

  • Adding hours: you may add classes at any time during a term. You pay only for the remaining lessons of the added classes.

  • Reducing hours: because the term has been reserved and paid for, hours cannot be reduced part-way through a term. You may choose fewer hours at your next term.

9. Group classes, private groups and one-to-one

  • Group classes are shared classes on the timetable.

  • Private groups (2–4 students) are booked as a group for the term. If one student is absent, the group may reschedule together; otherwise that student's lesson for that week is used.

  • One-to-one lessons are reserved teacher time. Because the teacher is committed to those hours for the whole term, the term's hours must be used within the term.

10. Renewals and loyalty

  • To renew, simply confirm your child's classes and hours for the next term.

  • Group renewals receive one free week — you pay for one week fewer than the term contains, and receive the full term of lessons. (This loyalty benefit applies to group classes.)

11. Refunds and exceptional circumstances

  • Tuition is non-refundable. In genuine, exceptional circumstances — for example a family relocating abroad — the British Learning Centre may, at its sole discretion, allow remaining tuition to be used online, or offer a refund of unused tuition. Any such arrangement is a goodwill exception and not an entitlement.

12. Your responsibilities

  • Please keep the centre informed of any changes to pick-up arrangements or contact details.

  • Please arrive on time so your child receives their full lesson.

13. Agreement

  • By signing your tuition agreement, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms, and to the British Learning Centre policies published at www.britishlearningcentre.com/about/our-policies.

  • The British Learning Centre reserves the right to update these terms. The version in force is the one published on our website and referenced on your tuition agreement at the time of enrolment.
